Description

Benefits and Applications of Sermorelin DP

Sermorelin DP is a synthetic peptide similar in structure to that of GHRH, a substance naturally produced by the body and responsible for stimulating growth hormone production. A modified version of the peptide called Sermorelin, which is comprised of 29 amino acids; this structure represents growth hormone-releasing hormone.

Mechanism of Action

Sermorelin DP binds to these receptors, which then sends a signal down the pituitary gland inducing it — just like being young and/or perfecting your hedonic calibration! Sermorelin DP is a natural stimulant for human growth hormone whereas synthetic treatments inject exogenous GH directly into the body. This helps to reduce the risk of side effects that are often seen when GH levels become too high, whilst allowing patients own natural regulatory mechanisms.

Clinical Applications

It is primarily used for treating growth hormone deficiencies in children and adults who have GH insufficiency. In children, Sermorelin DP also helps to spur on growth for those that are not producing enough human growth hormone themselves and as a result they could have enhanced height or grow in stature. In adults, it is typically prescribed to counteract the undesirable effects of ageing such as reduced muscle mass and increased body fat due fall in GH level.

Safety and Side Effects

Administration of Sermorelin DP is generally well tolerated when compared with direct GH administration and data from clinical trials gives a favorable profile for its safe use. The most common side effects are mild soreness at the injection site, headaches and a brief red flush.
